Food safety

i read in Open house this month that the ACT government had finially cracked down on what we have known for years. The dodgy activities of some asian restaurants in all our states. i am so pleased that an acredited body is actually taking a stance, the operational activites in this area we have known for years to be substandard. Washing dishes in hallways, not having chemcals hooked up to dishwashers and the list goes on. I am not daming the entire sector but come on we all have seen it.

wow finally some truth out there in OZ, i work in a hotel and am constantly amazed at how many times my get screened and tested, i see activities like Chef Glenn mentioned and have wondered why nothing has ever been done

Thanks Robin, the more we follow this the more momentum we will gather. It really is quite awful the way we sometimes get treated in this so called hospitality industry

what i dont get or understand in nsw they said that they would introduce a number system on front door of all restaurants.1 being very clean and 10 well dirty .great BUT when

yes very good point John, this was done successfully in Singapore, lets hope it takes off here. We will certainly see a change in how a lot of people operate. by the way had some great feed back from some "A" listers in Sydney last week that dines at your restaurant. An ex prime Minister no less, well done son
